My Story

During the COVID-19 pandemic, like many others, I saw how businesses and individuals were struggling to maintain meaningful connections. With closures, reduced foot traffic, and the overwhelming shift to online interactions, it became clear that the social networking platforms we relied on were no longer enough. I realized there was an urgent need to restore excitement for real-world interactions and to help businesses reconnect with their customers in an authentic way.

That’s when the idea for Crowd was born—not just as a social networking tool, but as a resource for businesses to rebuild and engage their communities during such a challenging time. Starting from home, I developed Crowd with a clear mission: to put control back into the hands of users. Instead of flashy, superficial features, I wanted to empower individuals to decide exactly who they wanted to connect with, based on shared interests, goals, and values. Crowd’s filtering system gave users the freedom to curate their own experience, ensuring that their connections were meaningful and aligned with their objectives. Privacy and trust were at the forefront of our design, with enhanced security measures that allowed people to engage authentically without the fear of oversharing their intentions or unwanted interactions. We introduced features like group chat, allowing users to not only meet new people but also invite their friends, wherever they decide to go. Crowd became a place where users, not algorithms, were in charge.

We introduced a heat map feature that visually mapped clusters of users with shared interests, transforming networking and community growth, while inspiring individuals to securely step out and engage in real-world interactions. This feature, rooted in detailed research and feedback, empowered businesses to attract customers through targeted hotspots, refine their strategies and brand identity, and improve community engagement organically. For entrepreneurs, Crowd’s local and global network data became a valuable tool to establish and expand their market presence.

As the pandemic reshaped event planning, we adapted quickly. Crowd became an essential tool for hosts and attendees, introducing features like pre-event networking, dynamic interactions during events, and seamless post-event follow-ups. Our goal wasn’t just to help people connect, but to redefine event experiences and enhance how they share memories. Using AI, we not only help event hosts understand their audience better, but also inspire individuals who have never met to attend events together, fostering new, meaningful connections.

As Crowd continues to evolve, I’m now offering my insights through Crowd Consulting. I’m here to help you navigate business challenges and grow in a digital-first world with the same strategies that made Crowd a success.
